Tour Details

Our trip The Jewels of Iceland is our best seller. It was created a few years ago as a self-drive tour with a focus on discovering some of the most emblematic natural sites in Iceland and provide for clients coming for the first time, a full insight of the island. In 2018, we offer the same itinerary guided and in small group. Every day, we will discover various and stunning landscape : tremendous black sandy beaches, steep fjords, impressive volcanoes, stunning glaciers, powerful waterfalls, all those words are not enough to describe the Icelandic natural jewels. Your guide will help you approach those beauties in a sensitive way, he will underline the richness and specificity of Icelandic nature and history, connecting the past to the future stakes. An amazing discovery to enrich this trip.

This trip is offered at 3 different seasons with 3 departures:

In May and July, you’ll be visiting during the blooming of the Icelandic nature, waking up after the long winter. The trip will be brighten up by migrating birds, back on the island for nesting. You’ll also be experiencing long days as we slowly get closer and closer to the Summer solstice and its midnight sun. This is a perfect trip to gain in vitality and in energy.

In September, we will have the return of the Northern lights to light up the Icelandic nights. Nature is offering its last fruits, blueberries and mushrooms can be picked up before they start to be covered by snow. Animals are less exuberant but we still have the chance to observe a seal, whales or even reindeers during their transhumance to the mountains or a shy arctic fox.

Highlights of this trip:

Our travel agency is part of the VVE network, Leave No Trace. In this context, we adhere to an environmental guideline and are active locally for the protection of the environment. All our choices are made according to this: selection of food, accommodation, services.

We want to keep the size of the group small to have better interaction and friendliness.

A professional guide/driver that have the has a real expertise on the field and in term of knowledge about Iceland. He won’t only bring you from point A to point B but will make you have a lifetime experience.

Diversity in landscape and visits, a balance that will let you savoure all the aspects of the trip

A pleasant pace, we don’t think our trip as a military mission, you’re on holidays and will have time to enjoy each visit and we try to shorten the distance of drive as much as we can to spend most of the day outside in the nature.
