Map

Good to know

Indicative itinerary: On this self drive tour we will create a complete itinerary accordingly to your likes and hopes about Iceland and to our deep knowledge of the country. You will have an indicative day by day schedule, and the accommodation will be booked for you. We will also give you maps and a road book allowing you to travel relaxed: resupplying locations, good restaurants, tourists traps to avoid, mandatory sites and alternative locations of interest…

Vehicle:For this kind of self drive tour, except in winter time, we recommend to rent a city car instead of a 4WD. The 4WD are usually needed on the highlands roads and are not needed on asphalted roads. But if you expressively require a 4WD we will comply.

Accommodation during your stay:Usually we use quaint guesthouses or Bn’B, selected for their comfort, their nice staff and their location according to your itinerary. In some places of Iceland, the choice is limited, therefore you should book as early as possible. We avoid as much as possible hotels and standardized accommodations. You can also request to chose other accommodation types, such as 3-4* hotels, or camp sites (summer only). Please feel free to contact us for any specific requirements.
