Our team

Harpa Barkardottir is Icelandic and a graduate of anthropology, she has a guiding licence and assists travellers’ groups for 12 years with her sharp knowledge of geology.

Harpa is a teacher of Kundalini Yoga and is specialized in assisting pregnancy. She also has a musical formation focused on cello and voice that we enjoy often during the travels through Icelandic folk songs (the cello is then used as a guitar).

Harpa loves helping us reach a relationship with the sacred dimension of nature. She always guides with sensitivity both to the invisible worlds and a strong knowledge of the visible world.

Jean-Marc Plessy is French, an Aikido and Qi gong teacher, and a Shiatsu practitioner. He lives in Iceland as a photographer, guide, and founder of the travel agency Alkemia. Jean-Marc always takes the time for contemplation in his walks, to help meeting the elements, finding the source and in the end, oneself.

Jacob is more than an Icelandic travel guide. With a background in yoga, personal coaching, and massage therapy, he offers a unique perspective on exploring Iceland’s magnificence. Residing in North Iceland with his Icelandic wife, who shares his passion for adventure, he brings you an authentic experience of Iceland’s culture and nature. In his off time, Jacob is an outdoor enthusiast, indulging in mountain biking, running, and savoring the simple joys of North Iceland. Join him for an adventure where you’ll experience Iceland’s wonders and embrace both the subtle and exhilarating sides of this extraordinary land.

Lola is French, graduated in European project management, she participated in the creation and management of many projects and events in close collaboration with partners from all over Europe. Lola has lived in Iceland for 4 years. It all started, like you, with the desire to take a trip there. It was when she returned from a magnificent excursion in 2017 that she decided to return to settle there. She is the owner and manager of a lodge in the North of Iceland (http://stay-in-arbakki.com).

By joining the Alkemia team, she promises to share with you her discoveries of Iceland, her wonder, the reasons that led her to settle there, her experience of Icelandic life.

Where are we ?

Our travel agency is located in the fjord called Eyjafjördur close to Akureyri and in the region of Myvatn, both in north Iceland, were we live all year round. We organize many trips around lake Myvatn and in Eyjafjördur because this region offers a large range of things to discover while remaining on a scale of short travels, but we also offer trips in the whole country.
